Universal Home Entertainment has announced the Region 1 DVD release of Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story, which stars Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning and Elisabeth Shue, on March 7th, 2006.

The film, which is loosely based on a true story, follows a Kentucky horse trainer (Russell) and his daughter (Fanning), who rescue a horse with a broken leg. The two then help nurse the animal back to health and take it to race in the Breeders' Cup.

The disc will feature an Anamorphic Widescreen transfer with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. Special features have yet to be announced.
