SYNOPSIS
Stranded by a plane crash a thousand miles from civilization, pilot Charlie Lavery sets out across the endless tundra for the nearest outpost. He leaves behind a young Eskimo woman—beautiful and frail. After a harrowing struggle for survival, Lavery finally collapses on the brink of death. Mysteriously, the young woman reappears to save him and he slowly comes to recognize her wondrous, mystical connection to the land. Based on the book by Farley Mowat.

Gough and Millar to Pen 'Robotech'
Screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who both penned Spider-Man 2 and The Mummy: Tomb of Dragon Emperor, have been drafted to write Robotech, Warner Bros. Pictures' adaptation of the anime classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Akiva Goldsman and Chuck Roven are producing with Tobey Maguire and Drew Crevello.

Superbad helmer Greg Mottola will direct the extraterrestrial comedy Paul for Working Title and Universal Pictures, which will star Shaun of the Dead actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, Daily Variety reported. Mottola, who recently wrapped the upcoming comedy Adventureland, will begin shooting Paul in mid-April in New Mexico.

Jack Black, who starred in the summer hits Kung Fu Panda (now on DVD!) and Tropic Thunder, will toplone a new version of Gulliver's Travels for 20th Century Fox. The latest take on the Jonathan Swift classic will be directed by Rob Letterman from a script adapted by Joe Stillman, with a rewrite by Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall).
