Plot Summary:

Like ''Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'', this film is an adaptation of a Hunter S. Thompson book. This one, The Rum Diary, is his first published work of fiction and covers his early days as a journalist, before all the hallucinogens (though with abundant booze), at a San Juan paper in the 1950s.
