In the comedy, Hathaway plays a woman who breaks off her engagement to what seems to be a perfect man only to see her parents work overtime to get them back together.

The Spirit is Miller's (Sin City) adaptation of the classic Eisner film-noir comic series. Johansson is in final negotiations to play a dangerous beauty named Silk N. Floss.
