SYNOPSIS

An everyman discovers a strange mark has transferred to his body from the corpse of a Confederate soldier. Although the mark grants him special powers, he also struggles with the impulse to use it for evil purposes.

    Stiller Might Helm DreamWorks' 'Chicago'

    Actor/writer/director Ben Stiller has held early talks to helm The Trial of the Chicago 7, a politcal drama that would mark a departure from his comedic efforts such as Tropic Thunder and "Zoolander." The DreamWorks project revolves around the riots at the Democratic National Convention in 1968 in Chicago, and is a high priority for the newly configured studio, which has been "freed" from Paramount Pictures and now has a distribution deal with Universal Pictures.

    Helmer Gray Gets 'Citizen' Arrest

    Director F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job, Be Cool) has signed on to replace helmer Frank Darabont for legal thriller Law-Abiding Citizen, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Darabont recently exited the project, which will star Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler and is a said to be a "priority" for startup production shingle The Film Department.

    McAdams Joins Warner's 'Sherlock' Cast

    Rachel McAdams, who stars in this weekend's limited release of The Lucky Ones, reportedly has signed up for a role in Guy Ritchie's star-studded movie Sherlock Holmes, according to The Hollywood Reporter." The action-adventure pic is scheduled to begin shooting next month.
