PROFILE OVERVIEW
SYNOPSIS
The young Belgian reporter and world traveler is aided in his adventures by his faithful dog Snowy.
A junior reporter follow stories to the ends of the earth, even though he often finds his own life in jeopardy. His able assistants include a white dog named Snowy, the lunatic Captain Haddock, the muddled genius Professor Calculus and the Thompson Twins.

Jackson and Serkis Reunite for 'Tintin'
Andy Serkis (The Prestige, 13 Going on 30) is reteaming with director Peter Jackson for DreamWorks' forthcoming Tintin trilogy, based on Georges Remi's Belgian comic strip, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Steven Spielberg and Jackson will each helm at least one of the three films, though the specific lineup is unknown.

Wow... this was a bit unexpected. In a surprise announcement, Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema have reached agreement to jointly make J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, a planned prequel to the blockbuster trilogy The Lord of the Rings. New Line, which has had a string of box office flops, needs it more than Jackson, who has plenty of projects already on his slate, including TinTin, Temeraire and The Lovely Bones.
