Wiseman Helming DreamWorks' 'Atlantis'
Live Free or Die Hard helmer (and husband to Kate Beckinsale) Len Wiseman has signed on to direct the big-screen adaptation of the apocalyptic sci-fi comic book Atlantis Rising for DreamWorks Studios, Daily Variety reported. Screenwriting duo Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Transformers, Star Trek) brought the project to DreamWorks back when the company was within the Paramount fold.

An attraction based on Michael Bay's Transformers movie is being developed for Universal's theme parks. Universal Parks & Resorts has paired up with Hasbro and DreamWorks Pictures to produce a Transformers attraction at its parks in Hollywood and Singapore, set to open in early 2011.

Rainn Wilson (NBC's "The Office" and upcoming The Rocker) has been cast in DreamWorks' Transformers 2, the sequel to last year's megahit about a race of automotive automatons, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The sequel reteams director Michael Bay with returning stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro.

Shia LaBeouf, whose recent credits include Transformers and Disturbia, will play a lucky loser in The Dark Fields, a thriller in the vein of "Fight Club" and The Game. Neil Burger (The Illusionist) is directing the Universal Pictures project, working from an adaptation of the book by Alan Glynn.
