Brad Pitt will star in and George Miller will direct an sci-fi take on Homer's The Odyssey for Warner Bros. Pictures, according to Daily Variety. Their intention is to transfer the tale to a futuristic setting in outer space, the trade paper reported. Warner has quietly set up The Odyssey, and the early hope is that Pitt will star and Miller will direct, with Pitt's Plan B producing.
Bryce Dallas Howard, who played Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3, is in negotiations to replace Charlotte Gainsbourg in action-adventure sequel Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Gainsbourg was originally set to play Kate Connor, the wife of human resistance hero Connor. The actress had to bow out because of scheduling conflicts with another film, a French comedy.
