Cheadle Replaces Howard in 'Iron Man 2'

Oscar winner Don Cheadle (Traitor, Ocean's Thirteen) is stepping in to replace Terrence Howard (The Hunting Party) in Iron Man 2, Marvel Studios' sequel to its summer blockbuster, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jon Favreau is returning as director, and Robert Downey Jr. is expected back as billionaire industrialist Stark/Iron Man. Gwyneth Paltrow also is expected to be back as Stark's assistant, Pepper Potts.

Director Black Enters Universal's 'Cold'

Screenwriter-turned-director Shane Black, who directed 2005's flop Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, will next helm Cold Warrior for Universal Pictures, according to Daily Variety. Based on a script by Chuck Mondry, the story revolves around a spy from the Cold War era who comes out of retirement to team with a younger agent from the new school to confront a domestic terrorism threat orchestrated by Russia.
