Reeves Bites into Overture's 'Right One'
Cloverfield director Matt Reeves has signed on to write and direct the vampire tale Let the Right One in for Overture Films and Hammer Films, according to Daily Variety. The project, which is a remake of Tomas Alfredson's Swedish film "Lat Den Ratte Komma in", centers on a young boy who befriends a female neighbor who moves to town.

Jason Statham, who stars in the upcoming crime thriller The Bank Job (we are giving away passes!) will once again return as Frank Martin for a third time in Transporter 3. Statham will reprise his role as the mercenary driver/delivery man. He will reteam with co-star Francois Berleand and new addition Robert Knepper ("Prison Break").

The adorable Emmy Rossum (Poseidon, The Day After Tomorrow) has booked the female lead in 20th Century Fox's Dragonball, based on the popular Japanese manga, Daily Variety reported. Justin Chatwin (The Invisible) stars as Goku, a warrior who protects the Earth from a stream of rogues bent on dominating the universe. James Marsters plays the film's villain, Lord Piccolo.
12-17-07New Line Makes Visit to 'Orphanage'
New Line Cinema has picked up remake rights to The Orphanage, a Spanish-language thriller generating buzz at the Toronto International Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project marks the directorial debut of Juan Antonio Bayona, a protege of Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro, who will serve as producer on the English-language version.
