Ford Teams McAdams for News Comedy
Harrison Ford, last seen in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal, will star in Morning Glory, which is a comedy that J.J. Abrams is producing for Paramount Pictures. Rachel McAdams (Wedding Crashers) is in negotiations to join the cast too. Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) wrote the script. Roger Michell (Enduring Love) is set to direct.

The adorable Anne Hathaway, who was last seen in summer actioner Get Smart, has signed on to lead the cast of The Opposite of Love at 20th Century Fox, according to Daily Variety. The actress, who will next be seen Rachel Getting Married and Passengers, will star as a commitment-phobic attorney who finds her well-constructed life coming apart at the seams when she rebuffs her ready-for-marriage boyfriend.
09-25-08McAvoy and Blunt in 'Gnomeo' Talks
James McAvoy (Atonement) and Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) are in negotiations to lead the voice talent cast of Elton John's animated Gnomeo and Juliet, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The animated Shakespeare adaptation from Miramax Films and Elton John's Rocket Pictures will also likely feature many of the rocker's songs and possibly some new tracks.

Recent Emmy nominee Stanley Tucci, who was nominated for guest starring on Monk, is in negotiations to play the pivotal role of killer George Harvey in Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Lovely Bones for DreamWorks Pictures. Rachel Weisz and Ryan Gosling will play the parents of Susie Salmon, a 14-year-old who has been raped and killed by a neighbor she refers to as Mr. Harvey.
