Bob the Musical centers on a mild-mannered man who suddenly hears the "inner song" of people's hearts after being struck on the head.

Morgan and Miller Find 'Roommates' Together

Tracy Morgan, who most recently appeared in First Sunday, will star in and produce the comedy Freshman Roommates for The Montecito Picture Company and Paramount Pictures, according to Daily Variety. TJ Miller (Cloverfield) will also star in the film. Freshman Roommates asks the question what if those spam emails aren't scams.

Ford Teams McAdams for News Comedy

Harrison Ford, last seen in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal, will star in Morning Glory, which is a comedy that J.J. Abrams is producing for Paramount Pictures. Rachel McAdams (Wedding Crashers) is in negotiations to join the cast too. Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) wrote the script. Roger Michell (Enduring Love) is set to direct.

Wilde Enters Disney's 'Tron' Sequel

Olivia Wilde, who starred in Turistas and is a series regular on Fox's medical drama "House", has signed on to star in Tron 2.0, the sequel to the 1982 Disney cult classic being directed by Joseph Kosinski, according to Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. The original, about a programmer thrust into a computer and forced to fight in games he helped create, is remembered for its sci-fi gladiator-style battles and groundbreaking special effects.

Witherspoon in Brooks' Comedy Project

Helmer James L. Brooks, who has directed only five films during his career and hasn't helmed one since 2004's Spanglish, will next team up with Reese Witherspoon on How Do You Know for Sony Pictures, according to Daily Variety. Witherspoon was set to start lensing an Untitled Cameron Crowe Project for Sony in February, but that film has been pushed to July, leaving an opening in the actress' schedule.

Baruchel Fills Disney's 'Apprentice' Shoes

Jay Baruchel, who was last seen in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and Tropic Thunder, is negotiating to play the title role in a live-action The Sorcerer's Apprentice for Walt Disney Pictures, Daily Variety reported. Baruchel would join Nicolas Cage, who plays the sorcerer in the Jon Turteltaub-directed film.

Weitz to Direct Summit's 'New Moon'

Summit Entertainment announced today that filmmaker Chris Weitz ('The Golden Compass') has been hired to direct the second film in the studio's Twilight film franchise. The film, New Moon, is based on the second book in author Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series.

Black Embarks on 'Gulliver's Travels'

Jack Black, who starred in the summer hits Kung Fu Panda (now on DVD!) and Tropic Thunder, will toplone a new version of Gulliver's Travels for 20th Century Fox. Steven Soderbergh is reportedly prepping a 3-D live-action rock 'n' roll musical about Cleopatra. The trades today say that the director is looking at Catherine Zeta-Jones to star as the Egyptian queen with Hugh Jackman as her lover Marc Antony. The $30 million Cleo — to be set in the 1920s — will be shopped for financing and distribution within the next two weeks.

Oscar Winner Bardem is a 'Biutiful' Man

Oscar winner Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men) has lined up a lead role in the drama Biutiful, according to Daily Variety. The trade paper says that the film is about "a man embroiled in shady dealings who is confronted by a childhood friend, now a policeman." The trade doesn't specify which character Bardem will be playing.

'Enchanted' Star Takes Romantic 'Leap'

Enchanted star Amy Adams is in negotiations to star in Spyglass Entertainment's romantic comedy Leap Year, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story follows the adventures of an uptight woman (Adams) who journeys to Dublin to propose marriage to her boyfriend on Leap Day, Feb. 29. She's bent on that particular date because Irish traditions says men must accept if a woman proposes on that day. Naturally, with such a specific deadline, the woman's trip gets sidetracked by the weather and other wacky incidents.

Writer-director Kevin Smith, who has Zack and Miri Make a Porno coming out next week, is said to be developing a futuristic outer-space comedy that will reference other sci-fi movies and revolve around a father-son relationship, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Smith has nodded to the genre in his earlier work but never made an sci-fi film.

Cheadle Replaces Howard in 'Iron Man 2'

Oscar winner Don Cheadle (Traitor, Ocean's Thirteen) is stepping in to replace Terrence Howard (The Hunting Party) in Iron Man 2, Marvel Studios' sequel to its summer blockbuster, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jon Favreau is returning as director, and Robert Downey Jr. is expected back as billionaire industrialist Stark/Iron Man. Gwyneth Paltrow also is expected to be back as Stark's assistant, Pepper Potts.

Willis to Make Directing Debut on 'Stories'

Bruce Willis, who was most recently seen in Live Free or Die Hard, is will make his directing debut on independent drama Three Stories About Joan, which will star Camilla Belle and Kieran Culkin. Willis will also take a supporting role in the feature, which will begin shooting in early October in Shreveport.
