Bryce Dallas Howard, who played Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3, is in negotiations to replace Charlotte Gainsbourg in action-adventure sequel Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Gainsbourg was originally set to play Kate Connor, the wife of human resistance hero Connor. The actress had to bow out because of scheduling conflicts with another film, a French comedy.

Ben Stiller is attached to produce and possibly star in The Return of King Doug, an adaptation of a graphic novel about a man who must return to the fantasy world he abandoned 30 years earlier. The project is set up at DreamWorks, which has partnered with King Doug publisher Oni Press on the titles Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things and "The Damned."
