Ribisi Joins Cast of Cameron's 'Avatar'

Giovanni Ribisi, who starred opposite Halle Berry in thriller Perfect Stranger, has signed on to James Cameron's 3-D highly anticipated Avatar, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He joins a cast that includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez. The 20th Century Fox revolves around a band of humans pitted against a distant planet's indigenous inhabitants.

New Director Being Eyed for Berry's 'Tulia'

Halle Berry's latest project has been resurrected. The long-gesting project Tulia, in which Berry stars as a lawyer, is currently negotiating with "High Crimes" helmer Carl Franklin to direct. The project is based on Karen Croner's adaptation of the Nate Blakeslee book "Tulia: Race, Cocaine, and Corruption in a Small Texas Town."
