Director Eyed for Relativity's 'Voltron'

Relativity Media may put the super long-gested Voltron: Defender of the Universe in the hands of helmer Max Makowski, Daily Variety reported. Justin Marks (Street Fighter, Masters of the Universe) wrote the live-action adaptation of the Japanese animated series of the 1980s, which revolves around a sword-wielding robot that helps battle Earth's invaders.

Cage Stars in Sci-Fi Thriller 'Knowing'

Nicolas Cage, who of course headlines the box office champ National Treasure: Book of Secrets, is set to star in Knowing, a sci-fi thriller to be directed by Alex Proyas (I, Robot), Daily Variety reported. The movie begins production March 17 in Melbourne, Australia.

'I, Robot' Director Helming New 'Dracula' Movie

I, Robot director Alex Proyas has signed on to helm Dracula Year Zero, Universal Pictures' origins tale about Vlad the Impaler. The film, being produced by Michael De Luca, is one of several in the works about the Romanian royal who inspired Bram Stoker's vampire tale.
