SYNOPSIS
Academy Award nominees Natalie Portman and Javier Bardem star in two-time Academy Award winning director Milos Forman's thrilling new romantic drama! Goya's Ghosts is a sweeping historical epic, told through the eyes of celebrated Spanish painter Francisco Goya (Skarsgard). Set against the backdrop of political turmoil at the end of the Spanish Inquisition and start of the invasion of Spain by Napoleon's army, the film captures the essence and beauty of Goya's work which is best known for both the colorful depictions of the royal court and its people, and his grim depictions of the brutality of war and life in 18th century Spain. When Goya's beautiful muse (Portman) is accused of being a heretic, renowned painter Francisco Goya (Skarsgard) must convince his old friend Lorenzo (Bardem), a power-hungry monk and leader of the Spanish Inquisition, to spare her life.

Gough and Millar to Pen 'Robotech'
Screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who both penned Spider-Man 2 and The Mummy: Tomb of Dragon Emperor, have been drafted to write Robotech, Warner Bros. Pictures' adaptation of the anime classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Akiva Goldsman and Chuck Roven are producing with Tobey Maguire and Drew Crevello.

Superbad helmer Greg Mottola will direct the extraterrestrial comedy Paul for Working Title and Universal Pictures, which will star Shaun of the Dead actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, Daily Variety reported. Mottola, who recently wrapped the upcoming comedy Adventureland, will begin shooting Paul in mid-April in New Mexico.

Jack Black, who starred in the summer hits Kung Fu Panda (now on DVD!) and Tropic Thunder, will toplone a new version of Gulliver's Travels for 20th Century Fox. The latest take on the Jonathan Swift classic will be directed by Rob Letterman from a script adapted by Joe Stillman, with a rewrite by Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall).
