Isaak Gets Fatherly Role in 'Informers'

Musician Chris Isaak, who had a role in John Waters' A Dirty Shame, has joined the ensemble cast of The Informers, an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel. The cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Austin Nichols (Glory Road), Ashley Olsen, Jon Foster (Stay Alive), Lou Pucci (Fast Food Nation), Winona Ryder, Mickey Rourke (Sin City) and Amber Heard (All the Boys Love Mandy Lane).

Langella Gets Cast Inside 'The Box'

Frank Langella, who was recently starred in Superman Returns, will star with Cameron Diaz in The Box, the sci-fi horror film to be directed by Southland Tales helmer Richard Kelly, Daily Variety reported.The $30 million production is being bankrolled by Media Rights Capital.

Silver's 'Logan Runs' Again at Warner

Producer Joel Silver's update of the classic sci-fi movie Logan's Run is back up and running at Warner Bros. Pictures with a new director and new script, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Commercial director Joseph Kosinski will make his feature-film directorial debut on the sci-fi thriller, which is being written by Tim Sexton (Children of Men).

Bosworth Ponders Life and Death Thriller

Kate Bosworth may be walking the line between life and death. The actress is close to signing on for Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo's upcoming supernatural thriller, After.Life.
