Scorsese Admits Three to 'Shutter Island'
Emily Mortimer (Lars and the Real Girl) and Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children) will play mental patients in Shutter Island, which is being directed by famous director Martin Scorsese. Fresh off box office champ The Bourne Ultimatum, Joan Allen has joined the cast of the long-rumored Death Race, a remake of the Roger Corman cult classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Deadwood" villain Ian McShane and actor/singer Tyrese Gibson also are in the starting lineup for the action-thriller, which stars Jason Statham.

Filmmaker John Woo (Paycheck) has signed to direct and produce Ninja Gold, a new property from the creator of such video games as Deus Ex, "Thief: Deadly Shadows" and "System Shock." "Ninja" centers on a ninja warrior, part of a centuries-old legacy and bloodline, forced to confront the reality of covert warfare in the modern world.
