The project is based on the Richard Matheson short story "Button, Button," which focuses on an unhappily married couple who are visited by a mysterious stranger. The stranger gives them a mysterious box with a button. If they push the button, they'll get great wealth, albeit with a catch—when they push the button, somebody they don't know will die.
