SYNOPSIS

The 1981 feature starred Kurt Russell and told of Snake Plissken, a one-eyed convict who is given the task to help free the U.S. president from a maximum security prison which used to be the island of Manhattan.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

At one point, Len Wiseman was attached to direct the project before apparently being replaced by Brett Ratner. As things stand right now, Jonathan Mostow has been brought into to do a rewrite, with an option to direct (10/31/07)
