SYNOPSIS

"Disney's A Christmas Carol", a multi-sensory thrill ride re-envisioned by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, captures the fantastical essence of the classic Dickens tale in a groundbreaking 3-D motion picture event. Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk (Gary Oldman) and his cheery nephew (Colin Firth). But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Adaptation of the Charles Dickens' story. The movie will be shot via performance capture, as well as Disney digital 3-D animation. Jim Carrey tackles seven roles, including Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.

    Barrymore and Long are 'Going the Distance'

    In a odd twist of events, Drew Barrymore has signed on to star opposite her former boyfriend Justin Long in Going the Distance, a romantic comedy for New Line Cinema, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Adam Shankman (Bedtime Stories) and Jennifer Gibgot are producing via their Offspring Entertainment banner, and Nanette Burstein is directing. The story by first-time scribe Geoff LaTulippe follows a couple trying to maintain a long-distance relationship.
