The story's focus is Madea's family--and this time her loving nephew, his mean wife and their baby are living in Madea's house. The nephew works at the local prison and has a part-time job to support his family while his wife attends school for her master's degree. His wife is only interested in her needs and desires. One morning, Madea's nephew--unaware of where his aunt has spent the night--goes to work and finds Madea in jail with some real convicts?! There must be some explanation. Yet steel bars and hardened criminals can't break Madea's brashness. Madea's loved ones hustle up the money to get her out. Not only does Madea get out of jail but she comes home with temporary custody of a sassy teen whose mother is doing jail time. Is Madea now a role model? Not! However, she does play the "ma'dear" role in pulling together all the fragment pieces in the lives of her ever-growing family.
