Plot Summary:

Two former best friends meet after a long separation to discuss a woman (Winona Ryder) who came between them years ago. Told in flashbacks, the story follows one friend's marriage to the woman, who may have been having an affair with the other. The only evidence they have that may reveal exactly what happened is the woman's diary.
