Rocker Marilyn Manson has revelead details of his debut film, which will be titled Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll.
Manson—whose albums include 'Mechanical Animal', 'Holy Wood (In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death)' and 'The Golden Age Of Grotesque'—wwill make his directorial debut in the film.
He will also play the role of Carroll, the novelist who wrote 'Alice In Wonderland'.
The rocker revelead that he had approached Hollywood star and pal Johnny Depp to appear in the film.
Manson told cable channel VH1: "Maybe I'll convince Johnny to be in it—I'll extort him to be in it."
The film is also set to feature special effects using a magician, rather than using high-tech computer-generated imagery.
Manson explained: "I just want to be unconventional by being traditional. I think by being traditional, sometimes like a Hitchcock, it's almost modern, because people are so used to seeing special effects."
